Over the course of the summer, plans have been hatched to launch a new club called Ardal Aberystwyth. Ardal Aberystwyth is a new style Rotary Club that gives its members the opportunity to help communities locally and throughout Wales and to enjoy fellowship and fun with likeminded people in an informal setting.

This innovative club has grown in a short number of weeks to nearly thirty members and is growing week on week.  Newly elected Llywydd (President) Kerry Ferguson, spoke of her excitement about the new club:

“I’m so delighted to be part of Ardal Aberystwyth, and absolutely honoured to have been elected as the first Llywydd for the club too. I really believe that Aberystwyth and the surrounding area has a fantastic community, and that Ardal Aberystwyth can work to harness that, giving support to the community and events, and of course working with other groups in the area to enhance the collaborative efforts.

Ardal Aberystwyth is open to everyone to join, and I’d welcome anyone with an interest to get involved!”

Meeting twice a month, Ardal Aberystwyth is open to members of all ages and all backgrounds. The club is keen to ensure that there is a broad range of experiences and sectors within its membership.

If you’re organising an event and need support from Ardal Aberystwyth to marshall, or in any other way – please get in touch! We’re very keen to help. Our first event has already happened, as the Race for Life came back to Aberystwyth on Sunday 19th September.
